In Memoriam – Sam Halkias – 1949-2023

OVR and our entire SCCA family have lost a champion who loved the sport of auto racing, who volunteered his time and shared his talents to others, including our region throughout his lifetime in our racing community.

Sam was currently very active, donating his talents as treasurer and board member of OVR along with continuing his love of promoting his EProd TR6 ( he was entered in not only our race last weekend Aug 12-13, but the Vintage event at PIR Put-In-Bay, and last weekend at Gratton). He also was an instructor at The Mid-Ohio School. But the most important love of his life was his family, which included being a VERY PROUD grandfather. To Carol, daughters Juli, Samantha, and the entire family, the region extends their sympathies.
